Julie Kaswurm
for Deputy Mayor
North Glengarry, Ontario

My Moral Compass
Ma boussole morale

Welcome | Bienvenue

I was born and raised in North Glengarry. Those from my childhood will remember me as Julie Quesnel. I was a student at the following elementary schools: Saint-Joseph, Perpétuel-Secours and Elda-Rouleau. Secondary studies were at École Secondaire Régionale Glengarry (E.S.R.G.).

I moved away from Alexandria in my early twenties... never thinking I would find myself back here someday. It was a gradual beckoning back. Firstly, by an invitation to attend a church service at a small Alexandria church pastored by retired O.P.P. officer Leo Heidinga. Secondly, by my placement, following the completion of the Police Foundations Program, at the Alexandria O.P.P. detachment. Finally, by meeting my husband, Heinrich (Heinz) Kaswurm. We have been married for 18 years and are co-owners of the Georgian House Restaurant & Day Spa, now a Private Club.

A Good Introduction
Video production by Jeff Poissant, RGD.

On October 4, I held an unscripted meet-and-greet at the Georgian House Private Club as part of my Deputy Mayor of North Glengarry campaign. The afternoon included a question-and-answer session. Here are two video recordings of it for you to view.

I'm asking for your support. Please copy or download this image of my digital Ad and share it on social media.

Thank you.
